Tulsa County Sheriff's Office Investigating After Man Assaulted, Seriously Injured

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is searching for at least one suspect in an assault that occurred near West 56th street north and Osage Drive on Tuesday morning.

Deputies say they spoke with witnesses who reported seeing a gray SUV chasing a 40-year-old man through the yard of this home.

The Sheriff's Office told News On 6 that the homeowner fired shots at the vehicle, but say it is unknown if anyone in the vehicle was struck.

Deputies say the homeowner was then beaten by someone in the gray SUV.

"In a perfect world our victim will recover, get out of surgery and tell us what happened but at this point, we don't have a whole lot of information other than this very bizarre confrontation," said Casey Roebuck from the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.

According to deputies, the victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital where he was taken into surgery.
