A woman is dead after Tulsa Police said a driver hit her while she was crossing the street in her mobility scooter.
Tulsa Police said the driver had a green light. Police said they do not expect any charges to be filed, calling this a tragic accident.
Police said around 7 p.m. Wednesday, an older couple on mobility scooters were crossing 46th Street North near Peoria when the woman was hit by a car.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her husband was behind her and taken to the hospital.
The driver told officers on scene he had a green light and didn't see the couple.
Officers said the man is expected to survive.
