The Rogers County Sheriff’s Office said robbers pistol whipped, tied up and robbed a man who works at an Oologah dispensary. The incident was caught on video.
“The only thing running through my mind was 'I’m glad I’m still alive.' I’m glad that I’m still here and able to make it home to my family safe,” said the victim, Trenten Treat.
Rogers County Deputies are now looking for the two men responsible.
Surveillance video shows Treat trying to barricade himself in the bathroom after seeing two men wearing masks run into Pipe Dream Dispensary with a gun.
Treat said before he could close the door, one of the men reached in with the gun and said he’d kill Treat if he didn’t open the door.
Treat said one of them tackled him and hit him in the head with the gun. The other suspect used zip ties to tie Treat’s hands behind his back.
“I saw them come in and at first, like I said, I didn’t think it was real. He told me to get on the ground. By then, I was like 'oh, it’s real,'” said Treat. “They were telling me 'get on the ground. Don’t move, you know we will kill you.'”
Investigators said the robbers stole the cash register and jars of marijuana then left.
According to investigators, the men drove up in a 2020 or 2021 silver Ford Edge with a sun roof.
“Now we’ve got to watch our backs and it’s like we got to always constantly look over our shoulders now. We can’t even stay open for the people who actually need the help,” said Treat.
Rogers County Investigators said brazen, violent robberies like this are rare in the county.
“Nothing where two men are brazen enough to have a firearm and enter a store while it’s open and take over that store. And physically attack somebody and tie them up. This just doesn’t happen in Rogers County,” said Lieutenant Kyle Baker with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office. “In this situation, this clerk is lucky to be alive. He was fighting for his life with a suspect.”
The owner of Pipe Dreams is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
The sheriffs office asks anyone who recognizes these men or has any information to call their tip line at: 918-341-3620.
