Oral Roberts (17-8, 11-3 Summit League) took down conference-foe Kansas City (16-10, 9-5) 91-86 on Saturday with a well-balanced offense that saw five Golden Eagles score in the double digits.
Three of those players were ORU starters Lacis (18 points), Thompson (10), and Abmas (19). The other two came off the bench for the Golden Eagles, Lufile (19) and McBride (16),
ORU's balanced play was able to outlast the one-man scoring show that Kansas City's Evan Gilyard II was displaying (29 points, 11-22). Down 10 at the half, ORU outscored the Roos 56-41 to secure the victory at the Mabee Center.
Next on the schedule for ORU is North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND on Thursday at 7 p.m.
