A high-speed wreck was all caught on camera and caused a big mess in Tulsa on Monday. Daniel Pollet had his dashcam rolling when it happened.

Pollet, who drives a wrecker, said the wreck happened just before 11 a.m. on I-244, near West 23rd street.

“I was on the outside lane and next thing I knew, I noticed a number of vehicles were slowing down in the inner lane,” said Pollet. “A smaller SUV had come to a complete stop.”

You can see the smaller car gets pushed down into a ditch, while the cement truck tips over. In all, five cars were involved. Immediately, Pollet jumped into action.

"I had the concrete truck driver. I had him check himself for injuries and everything to that effect,” said Pollet. “He didn't have any injuries. I didn't see any blood or anything except for his knuckles and things to that effect."

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said three other people went to the hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers say they believe it all started because an SUV pulling a utility trailer had a faulty hitch and the trailer fell off.

"Just took awhile to get it all cleaned up because there's a lot of crashed vehicles in the roadway," said Aaron Kern, a trooper with OHP.

"I'm just glad that everyone is okay. It could have been a lot worse," said Pollet.

OHP said they ticketed the driver with the faulty hitch.
