Moderna Sues Pfizer For Patent Infringement

Moderna said Pfizer and its partner company, BioNTech, infringed on Moderna's patent for the mRNA technology that powers both companies' vaccines.

Moderna said it considered filing the action in late 2020, but wanted to wait until after the pandemic was more under control.

Pfizer said it was surprised by the lawsuit, and said its vaccine is powered by its own mRNA technology.
