A Sapulpa couple is desperate for justice after a woman has been charged of abusing their daughter at a daycare in February.

The little girl was 15 months old at the time.

Sarah and William Rabe say their daughter is finally beginning to smile and be comfortable in daycare again, but it's been a long road.

"We had to grieve our baby, our baby that never had anything bad happen, that never cried too long, that trust was never broken," Sarah Rabe said.

Sarah says she picked up her daughter from daycare and saw red marks and bruises on her neck.

An affidavit says teacher Cheraty Huse was seen on video doing something to the child, but Huse's back blocked exactly what happened.

It says Huse then hoisted the baby onto her lap and held her tightly.

Sarah says when they saw that video, they were horrified.

"I had never wanted to reach into a computer screen before to reach and get my baby, I wanted to save her," she said.

Prosecutors charged Huse with child abuse in May and she was fired from her job.

William and Sarah have nothing but high praise for the way the owner of the daycare and DHS handled the situation.

But, William says it has been an emotional rollercoaster.

"We really felt like we were going through it blind, there wasn't a whole bunch or a lot of things we could lean on," he said.

They say their daughter is doing better each day, but she still has panic attacks, and times where she hates to be held.

"Our baby that's wild and crazy and laughing and goofy is gone, until we get her back from wherever she is at in her head," Sarah said.

William and Sarah say they don't know what the future holds in the criminal case, they want to make sure there's justice and they want to encourage other parents to speak up if they ever suspect anything could have happened to their child.

"Definitely, if you think something is going on, say something," William said.

We did call Huse's attorney, but have not heard back.
