Neighbors, Landlord Struggling To Process Broken Arrow Murder/Suicide

Neighbors in the area say they are devastated.

Many said this family was quiet and didn't interact with neighbors much, most said that something like this is just hard to process. Traci Tresler has lived in the neighborhood for two years. She didn't know the family personally, but a few of their kids would sometimes play with her kids.

She said she's heartbroken for the children and feels a lot of hatred toward the parents.

“Kids that were supposed to trust their parents, I can only imagine what they were feeling, how scared they were, how betrayed they felt, how confused they felt, no child should ever feel that way from their parent, they should feel safe and loved," she said.

She says she typically feels safe in this neighborhood, and obviously never expected anything like this. Kris Welch is the home's landlord and says the family lived there for 8 years. She says she didn't know them that well but would interact with them for maintenance calls and inspections.

She says she's just sick over the situation.

“I’ve got, of course, my daughters are grown but I’ve got a nine-year-old grandson, and that really hits home when there are kids that die," she said.
