Tulsa Police are investigating after one person was killed in an overnight crash near East 41st Street and South 145th East Avenue.
Tulsa Police say a woman who witnessed the crash, at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, helped officers piece together what exactly happened.
According to Police, a woman was driving northbound on 145th East Avenue when another driver passed her and crashed head-on with an oncoming jeep that was traveling southbound.
Police say because the driver was going up a hill and likely did not see the oncoming Jeep.
Police say the woman driving the jeep suffered a broken ankle and was transported to a Tulsa hospital to be treated.
Officers say the man who caused the crash died at the scene.
According to police, the person who witnessed everything was not hit or involved in the crash.
Tulsa Police shut down 145th East Avenue for about two hours as traffic investigators worked the scene and gathered evidence. The road has since reopened.
Police have not yet released the names of any of the people involved.
