Tulsa Police arrested two people after allegedly finding marijuana laced with fentanyl on them during an arrest.

According to police, officers arrested Christopher VanHorn and Kayla Smith on Wednesday afternoon near East 41st Street and South Mingo Road.

Police say the two were originally arrested for trespassing on railroad property, but officers say they later found a balloon filled with marijuana inside their bag. Police say opiates are usually packaged in balloons, so they tested the marijuana in the field and discovered that it was laced with fentanyl.

Both VanHorn and Smith are facing several charges including, trafficking fentanyl and having a firearm.

Police say VanHorn also has warrants out for their arrest in Kansas.
