Grove Man Pleads Guilty In Connection To 2019 Murder

A Grove man charged in connection to a murder and who was once mistakenly released from jail pleaded guilty.

Dakota Buzzard pleaded guilty to conspiracy to carry, use, brandish, and discharge a firearm while committing a crime.

Police said Buzzard was with his father William Buzzard and brother Cody Buzzard when Jerry Tapp was shot and killed in his front yard near Jay in 2019.

Cody Buzzard pleaded guilty to second degree murder last year.

William Buzzard's trial is scheduled for April.
