Kiddie Park In Bartlesville To Expand, Renovations Underway

The Bartlesville Kiddie Park re-opened on May 5. This will be the 76th year for the park.

It's one of the few parks like it in the country. It caters to young children and families. Because it's a nonprofit, the rides are still only 75 cents each.

A renovation is underway, with fresh paint, some new rides, and an expansion.

"Actually expanding to the north. We will be adding several new rides. We've already purchased two of those that will go in later this summer. And then we've got three more planned to go into the new area," Ken Johnson, Friends of the Kiddie Park said.

The gates opened at 6 p.m. Friday, with special prizes for the first 50 children inside.

The park will be open Friday and Saturday nights for now, and also Thursday nights during the summer.
