Deputies Search For Man Who Allegedly Attempted To Run Over Officer With Riding Lawn Mower

The Haskell County Sheriff's office says it is searching for a man who allegedly tried to run over an officer with a riding lawn mower.

Deputies say a Choctaw Nation officer pulled over Ethan Hunter on Monday about an arrest warrant.

According to police, during the traffic stop, Hunter tried to run over the officer with a riding lawnmower and dragged him, breaking the officer's finger. Police say Hunter then attempted to pull a gun on the officer.

According to police, Hunter then fled into a nearby wooded area.

Officers say Hunter is considered to be armed and dangerous and say the public should not approach him if he is seen.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ethan Hunter is asked to call 911.
