Man Fatally Struck By Train In Tulsa

UPDATE: Tulsa Police say a man is dead after being hit by a freight train Tuesday evening.

Police say the man was walking east on the tracks near Pine and Yale when the train came up behind him.

Investigators say the man didn't move off the track despite the train blowing its horn.

They believe the victim was deaf and didn't hear the warning.

A man has died after being hit by a train Tuesday night in Tulsa, according to police.

The incident happened near Dawson Road & North Yale Avenue around 6:40 p.m., police said.

Witnesses heard the train horn blowing and screeching brakes, and found the man dead, police said.

Police said they think the man may have been deaf, based on some paperwork they have.

Police have not yet identified the man.
