Driver In Custody After Overnight Chase Ends In Crash In Tulsa

Several agencies are investigating after a high-speed chase overnight where officers ended up shooting at the driver.

Police in Sapulpa say the chase started after they tried to pull over a driver in a white pickup truck who took off.

Officers say they chased the driver through Sapulpa, Sand Springs and into Tulsa.

During the chase police say the man allegedly tried to hit officers with his truck. At least one of the officers fired at the truck, leaving it with several bullet holes.

According to police, the driver eventually crashed near I-244 and Peoria and attempted to run away. Police say they were able to capture the driver who is now in custody.

Police have not yet identified the driver involved, but say he was unhurt during the chase.
