A woman is on the run after she was supposed to be sentenced Wednesday to 25 years in prison for child abuse.
Ashley Paulhamus gave up her right to a trial earlier this year after her three-month-old son had burns all over his body, a skull fracture, and broken ribs.
Prosecutors say Paulhamus has appeared in every court hearing for the last 15 months, having never been late.
Her attorney initially told the judge that Paulhamus was stuck in traffic, but she never showed up, and now there's a warrant out for her arrest.
Investigators said Paulhamus called 911 in March of 2022, saying that her three-month-old child had been scalded from a bath in a hotel room sink.
Investigators said the baby was struggling to breathe when they got there, and that they subsequently had to perform CPR.
The child had burns on 35-percent of his body, a skull fracture, bleeding in the brain, and broken ribs, investigators said.
Investigators said that Paulhamus waited eight hours to call for medical help, and said that the child's father, Taylor Ryon, left before police got there.
Paulhamus changed her story several times about what happened, but said Ryon had told her not to call 911 because he was scared of possibly going to jail, investigators said.
Ryon pleaded guilty to child neglect and he was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Investigators said the baby boy is doing better and currently lives with a foster family.
If you know where Paulhamus is, you're asked to call police.
