Man Injured, Taken To Hospital After Shooting Near 16th & Memorial

A man was injured and taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after police say he was shot in the leg near 16th and Memorial.

Tulsa Police were called to the location around 2:30 p.m. and found the victim injured outside a convenience store.

Lieutenant Wykoff with Tulsa Police said at the scene that the victim ran to a nearby apartment complex and someone there called police.

He said the victim was uncooperative and they're unsure what led to the shooting. Several shell casings were found on the scene, Wykoff said.

The victim was taken to the hospital and police the investigation is ongoing.
