The Golden Hurricane is finally back at the Reynolds Center. It might feel like it's been months since TU's had a home game, but it's only been two weeks (a 107-78 win over UTSA on January 17th).
Since that victory, Tulsa split a pair of games on the road at SMU and Rice. The 2-point win at Rice on Saturday was the first conference road win of the Eric Konkol era.
Now the Golden Hurricane turns its sights to longtime rival Wichita State. The Shockers come into town for a nationally televised game on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Reynolds Center.
This will be the 141st meeting between the two programs. WSU leads the all-time series 77-63, and has won 20 of the last 23 games.
The Shockers are led by a familiar face: Paul Mills. Mills is in his first season as head coach at Wichita State after spending six seasons as head coach at ORU. Mills is 2-3 against the Hurricane in his career.
Tulsa head coach Eric Konkol met with the media on Tuesday to preview the matchup with the Shockers, what was learned from the close win at Rice and facing off against Mills again.
