Connor Schiffli is a junior at Oklahoma State University and bleeds America's brightest orange.
“Had the great win at Arkansas last week, that was awesome to watch,” he said.
So when his mom scored tickets to watch OSU take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, he made the short drive to his hometown to go.
“I figured it would be a great game to come and watch the pokes come and play,” said Schiffli.
But before kickoff, they stopped at the Pump Restaurant and Bar. Owner Chad Potter says there's nothing like the energy on game days, especially when it's a big game like this.
“It's got a fun kind of loud vibe and it's a good time,” he said.
They just opened in May, so this is their first season hosting watch parties, and with Chapman Stadium only 4 blocks away, fans can fill their bellies, get their hands on some Pump merch or drink a cocktail before the short walk to campus.
“The Pump’s an easy place to hang out, we’ve got doors open, its beautiful weather, we’ve got TVs all around indoor and outdoor, we got fire pits at night, so I think it's gonna be a great day,” said Potter.
If fans didn’t get their hands on tickets, they get to stick around and watch the game at The Pump.
Potter says since the game is sold out, The Pump is the place to be to watch it and still take in the same college football atmosphere.
A special menu was curated for game day.
“We’ve got smoked and fried wings, brats, then we’ll have some lighter options like salads and things like that, but it's a great game day menu,” said Potter.
“I got the bratwurst … delicious,” said Schiffli.
Being his first time here, Schiffli is impressed and says The Pump knows how to set the tone for a fun day of football.
“If we weren’t going to the game, this seems like it'd be a really great atmosphere to watch it here,” he said.
