Tanner Fleming's dad shared that he was diagnosed with leukemia in July and has been eager to go fishing.

To celebrate Tanner's eighth birthday, they loaded up on Monday and headed to a private pond.

Tanner used his new rod and reel to reel in some nice largemouth bass.
