ENID, Okla. (AP) -- State investigators are looking into whether the shooting death of a 4-year-old Canton boy was accidental.

The Blaine County Sheriff's office received an emergency call about 3:12 Monday afternoon that Ethan Andrew Curry was shot in the head with a .357 Magnum while at his home in Canton.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown says Ethan's mother, stepfather, a family friend and his two younger siblings were in the home at the time.

Brown says it hasn't been determined if the shooting was an accident.

The child's body was sent to the state Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy, and investigators are interviewing witnesses.

The Department of Human Services has taken Ethan's sister and stepsister into custody, which Brown says is typical in a case like this.

No arrests have been made.
