A group of patriotic moms made a veteran's dream come true Monday. Greg Pallez was in the US Army during Vietnam. Heâ€™s now 51 and terminally ill.

To thank him for his service, the Oklahoma Chapter One Blue Star Mothers granted his wish to go to a casino.

Catoosa's Cherokee Casino gave Greg lunch, a jacket and even some money to play with. The Blue Star Moms say Greg was speechless.

Blue Star mom Gaye Beatt: "He said 'I'm not being unfriendly, this is all just a little much for me. And I noticed a couple of times that he was a little overcome and had some tears in his eyes.â€

Greg was the first person to have his wish granted as part of the Blue Star Mothers' "Wish upon a Blue Star" program.
