Child exploitation officers arrested a Tulsa doctor Tuesday morning. He's been charged with four counts of sexually abusing a young girl.

News on Six crime reporter Lori Fullbright says Tulsa Police detectives picked Doctor James Loerke up at his office in east Tulsa. It just so happens that his wife also filed for divorce Tuesday, she got a protective order against him a week ago.

Police arrested Dr James Loerke at his east Tulsa office with an arrest warrant in hand. The charges say Loerke started molesting a girl when she was seven years old and continued for the next three years. He has quite an extensive medical practice.

Detective Les Young, Child Exploitation: "He's a general practitioner and does a lot with geriatrics. He was over 80 different nursing homes and is the lead admissions doctor at Tulsa Regional Medical Center." Dr James Loerke got his Oklahoma medical license in 1983; his listed specialty is family practice.

We called his office. The woman who answered told us the doctor was trying to post his $400,000 bond. Police say once the girl came forward, Dr Loerke went to a counselor and confessed, so that counselor called DHS and Tulsa Police.

Court documents show the Doctor confessed not only to what the girl said, but, also other things. In fact, it took him seven pages to write it all down. It's what he said in the confession that might be shocking to some people. An affidavit says in his confession, Dr James Loerke said, "The victim seduced him." It also said the girl wasn't responsible for what happened "even though she has promiscuous, seductive type behavior like a well-seasoned prostitute." The child is now 11. Les Young, "Pedophiles almost always blame the victim, blame somebody besides themselves. They often have very little guilt. Even during the interview, Dr Loerke said he was responsible but, never said he was wrong."

Police say about a year ago, the girl told Dr Loerke she wasn't going to take it anymore and he stopped. She recently told her mother, who called police. They say she is very afraid of men right now, but, is having counseling.
