You may know him for his Pulitzer Prize winning work "Death of a Salesman." Now distinguished author and playwright Arthur Miller is receiving an honor in Tulsa.

The Tulsa Library Trust is awarding Miller the Peggy V Helmerich Distinguished Author Award for his major contribution to the field of literature.

Miller will receive a $25,000 cash prize and an engraved crystal book, but Tulsans are rewarded by getting to meet and talk with the internationally acclaimed author. Roger Coffey, a member of the Distinguished Author Committee: "The Peggy Helmerich award was planned and put together to give Tulsans an opportunity to meet and listen to distinguished authors in the literary world."

Miller will be in town to receive his honor at Tulsa's Central Library on December 3rd.
