TULSA, OK -- An SUV crashed into the side of a parked semi truck trailer in the Wonder Bread parking lot, 9th and Sheridan, at about 2 a.m. Sunday. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence, according to on scene reports.

Police say the Explorer was driving east on 9th Street at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and hit the trailer of a bread truck, sliding partly under the semi trailer.

Police say the driver was able to get out and walk to a nearby bar to call for help. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

The wife of the passenger tells The News On 6 that her husband was taken to St. Francis Hospital and is lucky to be alive.

Wonder Bread sent a truck over to the lot to lift the trailer up while a tow truck pulled the SUV out from under it.
