Foyil Basketball Coach, Teacher Arrested On Complaints Of Sex With Student
TULSA, Oklahoma - A second Foyil Public Schools teacher has been accused of having sex with a minor.
Jason Waide Ward, 37, resigned after the allegations were made.
He was a history teacher, the head boys' basketball coach and an assistant football coach at the high school.
Ward was booked into the Rogers County jail Thursday on complaints of rape by instrumentation, lewd molestation, sodomy and $80,000 bond. He turned himself in to authorities and bonded out less than 30 minutes later, officials said.
Rogers County investigators said the allegations involve a student who is about to turn 15.
Another teacher, Jeffery Harris, was booked into jail May 24 on three complaints of lewd acts with a child.
Harris was in the alternative education department at Foyil schools.
