TULSA, Oklahoma - A man was pistol whipped during a robbery at an east Tulsa apartment complex late Monday, police said.

Tulsa Police and EMSA were dispatched to the Heatherstone Apartments near 33rd and Mingo just before 11:30 p.m.

A man told officers he was attacked while walking through the complex by two or three men all wearing dark clothing.

Police say the victim was struck on the head with a handgun several times.

The victim told officers that after they got his money the men ran away.

EMSA took the victim to the hospital. Police say he's expected to be okay.
