OKC Police Officer Involved In Crash Near Penn Square

An Oklahoma City Police officer's cruiser was involved in an accident with a prisoner inside.

It happened right near the Penn Square Mall around 3:30 p.m.

News 9 is told the officer and a truck were side by side turning in a double lane, when a red Pontiac Firebird ran a red light hitting the officer, who then slid into the truck.

There were no major injuries, but the prisoner was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
