SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma - Tulsa County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Sand Springs man they say assaulted two juvenile relatives overnight Saturday.

Robert Edward Wixon was booked into jail on two felony child abuse complaints and resisting arrest in an incident that apparently stemmed from a teen's efforts to hide Wixon's alcohol.

Deputies were called to Wixon's home in the 26000 block of West 16th Court just before 5 a.m. by Wixon's girlfriend, according to an arrest report. She met them at the door and told authorities Wixon had been assaulting two relatives, a 15-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl.

The boy, who had scratch marks visible on his neck, told deputies Wixon pushed him to the ground and fought him for trying to hide his alcohol. Deputies say they learned Wixon had also punched the 14-year-old girl in the face leaving visible swelling.

Deputies found blood on the floor of the bedroom, the report states.

Wixon was found sitting on the bed in the master bedroom. The arresting deputy said the 37-year-old Wixon refused to get up off the bed and struggled as he was being taken into custody. The deputy said he had to force Wixon forward against a bedroom wall to get him into handcuffs.

Wixon remains in Tulsa County Jail in lieu of a $100,500 bond.
