OWASSO, Oklahoma - The community is buzzing about the possibility of Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood leaving their home in Owasso for the big city lights of Nashville.

A call into Brooks' spokesperson was never returned, but Trisha Yearwood did just give an interview to cmt.com saying it's time for them to go.

People at the Reasor's in Owasso say the couple shops there often and that the community is really going to miss them if they leave.

Olivia McNatt just doesn't want to hear that Garth Brooks might be leaving town. According to a recent article on cmt.com, Trisha Yearwood mentioned she, and her husband, are leaving Green Country for Nashville.

"Going to big old Nashville, you might not meet so many nice people, but lot of country music," McNatt said.

People are wondering if their sprawling mansion in Owasso will it be put up for sale, or it they will keep it.

Claremore resident Danny Scroggins has a plan for them.

Danny "it's pretty nice, I wouldn't want to leave. After I bought that place and had that, I'd stay right there on it," Scroggins said. "Go to Nashville for the week if you have to work there, and come home for the weekend. That's what I'd do."

A spokesperson for Brooks never got back to us concerning details of the move. But for years, the rumors have been that Brooks and Yearwood would leave Oklahoma once all the children were out of the house.

For the community they have called home for years, they've enjoyed seeing the couple regularly around town.

"It's really cool, they're celebrities in a small town. You can bump into them at Walmart," McNatt said. "It would be awesome if you just stayed and hung out with us so I could actually bump into you sometime. But, if not, you have to come back and visit us."

"They sat behind us at a restaurant in Claremore and he's seen at Atwoods in Claremore and Owasso area. You just see him all of a sudden," Scroggins said.
