Helicopter Drops Eggs For Sand Springs Children

Families in Sand Springs hunted eggs on Sunday, and they weren't too hard to find.

All they had to do was look up.

The "Church that Matters" used a helicopter to drop about 18,000 eggs.

They were filled with everything from candy to toys and covered a big part of the lawn at Clyde Boyd Middle School.

The church's pastor says just being outside with no rain was an answer to prayer.

"Early in the week there was a 60 percent chance this morning, we've watched in go down, and we're thankful God gave us the opportunity and the clear weather to do it like we have today," Rusty Gunn said.

This was the third year for the egg drop.

More than a thousand kids took part last year, and the church was prepared for an even bigger crowd this year.
