Tulsa police are looking for a man who took a woman's wallet from the counter of a convenience store last week.

TPD says that a woman forgot her wallet, accidentally leaving it on the counter of the store in the 4900 block of South Peoria Avenue. When she returned shortly to grab it, she realized it was gone.

The store manager reviewed the surveillance video, which showed a man taking the wallet and walking out of the store.

When confronted outside the store, the man denied taking the wallet, the clerk told police. When he was told police were being called, he took off running, TPD said.

A woman in the surveillance photos was with the man inside the store and followed him as he ran away. TPD is trying to identify them both.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or text TIP918 to CRIMES.
