After Short Chase, Broken Arrow Man Arrested For Rape
BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma - A Broken Arrow man is in jail after police say the man raped the woman he was staying with.
Police arrested Warren Blunt, 21, after the woman said she woke up to pain and Blunt in her bed.
The woman told police that her boyfriend was out of town but his friend, Blunt, was staying at the house. She said she went to bed and locked her door around 11:30 p.m. July 18th and woke up to pain.
According to the report the woman said when she realized what was happening she tried to get up but Blunt pinned her arms down so she began to kick. Once she made contact, she said Blunt ran out of the house and threw up.
The woman said Blunt returned inside while she was looking for her keys and demanded she make him a drink. The report says the woman, then, ran out of the house, drove away and called police.
Police said they went to the woman’s home to locate Blunt, but he ran away when officers arrived. They said other agencies were notified and eventually made contact and took him into custody around 4:25 a.m.
During questioning Blunt told deputies he went into the woman’s bedroom, got in bed and was spooning with the woman. Warren said she woke up, screamed “Oh my God, what are you doing,” and he ran out of the room.
According to the report, Warren also gave a written statement saying he went to sleep on the couch and woke up in the bed with the woman.
Records show Blunt was arrested earlier in the year for resisting arrest, driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an injury accident, eluding police, driving on the wrong side of the road and indecent exposure.
He’s currently being held on a $162,100 bond.
