Heavy Traffic For OU-Tulsa Football Game Anticipated

The Sooners are coming to Tulsa for their Saturday matchup with the Golden Hurricane, and it will impact drivers near the TU campus.

Crews will close 11th Street from Harvard to Delaware at 8 a.m. for a street party.

About 30,000 people are expected to attend the 11 a.m. game, which means a lot of extra traffic.

If you want to avoid it, there will be free shuttles running every 15 minutes from the OSU-Tulsa campus.

The city is also asking people who live near the stadium – between Interstate 244 and 15th Street -- to have their trash out extra early. Workers will start picking up residential trash at 5 a.m.

The next chance for trash pick up will be Monday.
