Driver Loses Control, Leaves Car On Tulsa Fire Hydrant
A driver lost control of their car and took out a fire hydrant early Sunday morning.
Police said a new or like-new Chevrolet Camaro was northbound on Lewis Avenue near 20th Street when it appears they lost control at a high speed.
They said the car went off the road on the east side of Lewis and took out a fire hydrant. Police said the keys were not in the car when they arrived.
They said water was flowing under the car and onto the street. Police had to close northbound Lewis until public works was able to close the main line.
