TULSA, Oklahoma - Tulsa Police say a man died after being struck by a car on Sheridan Tuesday evening.

Tulsa Police are not releasing the man's identity, and say he doesn't have any form of identification on him.

Police say a driver was heading northbound on Sheridan, near 81st & Sheridan, when he hit a man standing in the street. Witnesses driving by either saw a man staggering in the street or saw the man standing in the street right before he was hit and called 911, police said.

"He may be intoxicated. He may have some defect that caused the problem," said Sergeant Jim Clark with Tulsa Police. "We don't know why he was walking in the road, and we probably really won't have all the answers until the toxicology comes back."

Police say the driver of the truck that hit him was not doing anything improper.
