TULSA, Oklahoma - Tulsa is gearing up for a weekend full of bicycle racing in downtown and organizers say they need lots of volunteers.

Nearly 1,000 volunteers will help with course marshaling and rest stop support by the time the cycling festival is over.

Organizers say volunteers are essential to putting on the three-day event.

"Just to be a part of it, right in the mix, you can ride it yourself one day, volunteer another day, lots of our volunteers do that, but just be a part of it. It's so much fun, it's so invigorating," said Tonja Carrigg with Tulsa Tough.
