Lane Closures To Impact Traffic Flow On Tulsa's Inner Dispersal Loop

Downtown Tulsa drivers need be aware of some lane closures on the south leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop Friday through Sunday.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the reason is an ongoing $4.3 million rehabilitation project.

ODOT says the eastbound and westbound lanes of the IDL's south leg will be closed at different times starting Friday.

• All westbound lanes of the south leg of the IDL will close from noon Friday through 7 a.m. Saturday.
• All eastbound lanes of the south leg of the IDL will close from 7 a.m. Saturday through 10 p.m. Sunday.  
• After 10 p.m. Sunday, one eastbound lane will reopen until further notice.
• Boston Avenue over the IDL south leg will remain closed until early Friday. One lane will then open in each direction until further notice.
• All lanes of Main Street over IDL south leg will close early Friday until further notice.

ODOT says workers will be removing the bridge deck on Main Street starting this weekend and the closures are needed for safety.  The agency says the entire project began in January and is expected to be completed sometime this fall, weather permitting.

ODOT is recommending drivers plan ahead and take alternative routes to avoid the area completely.
