TULSA, Oklahoma - It's a tumultuous time for Oklahoma schools. Things like drastic budget cuts, teacher shortages and controversy over testing mandates have created rifts among teachers, administrators, parents and legislators.

That is why News On 6 is kicking off a statewide initiative called Educate Oklahoma.

Join us Monday, August 29 and Tuesday, August 30 for an in-depth look at what works well in Oklahoma's education system, what does not and what we can learn from other states, even other countries to improve. For an hour on each of those nights, and over the weeks and months ahead, News On 6 will profile teachers, students, schools and the things they're all doing to make Oklahoma more successful.
