Cold Front And North Winds To Drop Temps Across Oklahoma

<p>A cold front will bring gusty north winds and&nbsp;drier air to northeast Oklahoma Wednesday.</p>

A cold front will bring gusty north winds and drier air to northeast Oklahoma Wednesday.

Wind gusts around 25 miles per hour will be possible through the morning and into the early afternoon. Sky conditions will remain mostly cloudy until late afternoon and evening when a few more cloud breaks will be possible.

Highs Tuesday will be in the mid to upper 40s. Fire danger is limited today with the dry air and stronger winds.

Tonight, temperatures will fall to near freezing. Wind chill values in the morning will be near 20. Wednesday will bring a high of only 39 with a chance for wintry precipitation afternoon and into the early overnight hours.

Locations along the Oklahoma-Kansas line will have a better chance of seeing light snow.

The Tulsa metro will most likely have more of a wintry mix. Snow accumulations will be higher in the far northeast corner of the state with around 1" possible. There is not a lot of moisture to work with but it's enough some light precipitation.

Tuesday's commute home from work will require drivers to slow down for slick spots that will be possible on elevated surfaces.

Dry but very cold Thursday and Friday morning with lows in the upper teens, close to 20 on Thursday and 15 on Friday. wind chill values will be in the single digits.

Next chance for rain late Saturday night. As of now conditions for the Tulsa Christmas Parade look dry.
