Turnpike Authority Approves Toll Rate Hikes

It's going to cost more to drive on Oklahoma Turnpikes.

The turnpike authority passed toll rate hikes at their meeting Tuesday in Oklahoma City.

On the Turner Turnpike, the drive from Tulsa to Oklahoma City will jump 50-cents - from $3.90 to $4.40.

The trip from Tulsa to the state line on the Will Rogers Turnpike will cost the same, also going up 50 cents.

Smaller rate hikes were approved on the Muskogee and Creek Turnpikes.

The Turnpike Authority hasn't said yet when the new rates will take effect.
