A group of Oklahomans are back home from North Carolina after helping in the recovery efforts following Hurricane Florence.
Members of the Muskogee County EMS Disaster Team were sent to an area in the southeast part of the state, where they helped filter 911 calls and assisted the water rescue team.
“It was eye opening,” said paramedic Christopher Turner. “To see the devastation a hurricane can do, how it can just devastate communities, counties, and the whole entire state of North Carolina the way it did.”
Muskogee County EMS sent four medics with two ambulances on the relief mission.
