Henryetta Schools Take Extra Precautions After Threat
HENRYETTA, Oklahoma - Henryetta Public Schools said they are taking "every precaution" after a threat was made against the school. Extra security will be on hand, according to a Facebook post.
The post states administrators don't believe it is a credible threat, but they are working with the Henryetta Police Department as it is investigated:
Parents and Guardians of students at Henryetta Public Schools, we would like to inform you it was brought to the attention of Henryetta Schools that a threat had been made against the school. As a result we are taking every precaution possible. Today, Wednesday December 5th, there will be extra security on site.
We do NOT consider this a credible threat at this time! Our school administration has and will continue to thoroughly investigate any and all threats with the Henryetta Police Department. Nothing is more important to us than the safety of our students.
