Water Main Break Closes Henryetta Schools On Monday
HENRYETTA, Oklahoma - Henryetta Public Schools were closed on Monday.
The school district canceled classes after a large water line broke Sunday. The district posted the notice on its Facebook page.
According to TheHenryettan's Facebook page, the break is in a 15-inch water line which supplies much of the water for the city. The line was repaired Monday.
The newspaper says the Henryetta Fire Department brought several water tankers to town until the break is repaired.
Due to the break, the middle school basketball games will be played in Okemah Monday night.
7th grade girls play at 5 p.m.
7th grade boys play at 6.p.m.
8th grade girls play at 7 p.m.
8th grade boys play at 8 p.m.
The district's website also says there will be a bus taking students to the game that will leave from the new gym at 4 p.m.
