Kevin Stitt will become Oklahoma's 28th Governor Monday, January 14, 2019. Stitt's inauguration ceremony will take place on the steps of the State Capitol in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is stepping up security around the capitol building.

Kevin Stitt is expected to start speaking at about noon with the ceremony beginning at 11:30 a.m.

It's likely he will continue to talk about what he ran on in his campaign, making Oklahoma a top 10 state, as he says it, in many different areas, including education.
