A shooting suspect is now wanted on a murder complaint, after Oklahoma City police said the victim died from his injuries over the weekend.
According to police, just after 4 a.m. on Friday, August 7, officers responded to the report of an assault with a dangerous weapon in the 2600 block of N. Kelly. Officers arrived and discovered the victim, 41-year-old Kevin Parker of Oklahoma City, lying face-down in the parking lot, critically injured from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital.
During the investigation, detectives issued an arrest warrant for 37-year-old Roger Berry Jr. of Oklahoma City.
Investigators were notified on Sunday, August 16 that Parker died as a result of his injuries. The complaint against Berry will be amended to reflect a charge of first-degree murder.
