The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported two earthquakes near Perry Saturday afternoon.
The first, a 3.0 magnitude quake, shook the area two miles south of Perry and 15 miles northwest of Stillwater at 2:57 p.m., according to the USGS.
The earthquake was more than three miles deep.
One minute later, another earthquake was reported one mile south of Perry and 17 miles northwest of Stillwater. The 3.5 magnitude quake was recorded at 2:58 p.m. and was nearly two miles deep.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
