Muskogee Police are investigating after they said an employee stabbed a manager at the McDonald's at 101 South 32nd Street Tuesday afternoon. Police Chief Johnny Teehee said the two got into an altercation just before 3 p.m. that ended when the manager was stabbed in the stomach.
The manager, James Coble Jr., was taken to a Muskogee hospital. The chief said the manager's condition isn't known, but Coble was awake and talking when taken to the hospital.
"The suspect left the scene prior to officers arriving," Teehee said in a news release. The employee was identified as Derek Martin Perez, 32.
An Amber Alert was issued for his wife, Brenda Perez, and his daughter, Olivia Perez.
According to Muskogee police, Derek's wife was contacted by her sister-in-law after she saw the story on the news. After that Brenda said that Derek wouldn't let her or the child out of the car and they were heading to towards Texas, police said.
Police believe Derek was driving a silver 2006 Chevy Malibu with the tag number EBM 212.
The vehicle description matches the one in the following photo:
Brenda is described as a white female around 310 pounds with blue eyes and red hair.
Olivia is described as a white female born in 2017. She is two-feet tall with blue eyes and blonde hair.
