The McIntosh County Courthouse was evacuated Wednesday morning after a bomb threat.
Someone called the McIntosh County Sheriff's Department around 8 a.m. to say there was a bomb inside the courthouse, authorities report. The courthouse was evacuated and cordoned off, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb-detecting dog was called to the scene.
OHP searched the building and surrounding area, the sheriff's office reports. No explosive device was found.
Court proceedings continued at the Eufaula National Guard Armory. If anyone missed their court date because of the closing, they're asked to contact the county clerk's office.
