Tulsa Public Schools is considering moving their graduation ceremony to the Tulsa Fairgrounds. A Fairgrounds spokesperson confirmed that they are in discussion with TPS for the 2019 graduation to take place at the Expo Square Pavilion.

The decision is pending approval by the school board.

Graduation services have been held at the Mabee Center for a number of years. A source at the school system said cost savings is the driving factor for the switch.

The Expo Square Pavilion has permanent seating for over 4,200 and can seat over 6,000 according to the fairgrounds website. The arena floor size is 202 feet by 104 feet. There are locker and dressing rooms available.

The Mabee Center is a 105,000 square foot facility which can seat up to 11,300, their website states.
